GAME NIGHT

Drennon and I spent the evening at Donna's house playing games with the combined grandsons. First we played Quelf which is best described as insanity in a box! With this hilariously silly party game, you move around the game board, as one of eight quirky characters, crazy things start to happen. Your friends start talking strangely. Your mom's face is wrapped in toilet paper. Your dad is acting like Dracula. And you are reciting a poem about your armpits. Anything can & does happen and you can't help but laugh until you can't catch your breath.

Next we played Bezzerwizzer, a new twist on trivia with over 5000 questions and 20 categories of questions plus stealing and tile swapping for fast-paced game play. Bezzerwizzer is a new kind of trivia game that relies on strategy as much as knowing all the answers from categories such as Food & Drink, Film, the Business World and so on. Just make your way around the board before your opponents steal your points or your categories. It'll make even the smartest person scratch their heads because the questions cover things that you only thought you knew.

We had a blast and us old farts even won a round or two showing the young'uns that they're not near as smart as they think they are. Who said that you have to spend a ton of money to have fun? Break out the board games or cards and play with your kids, they'll have fun and maybe even put the  cell phones down for a minute or tow.
